The problem we exist to solve

Poor nutrition isn't a personal failure. It's a systems failure.

In Travis County, 14.4% of people experience food insecurity, and even families with enough calories often lack access to the whole, plant-based foods that build healthy, thriving children. The system feeds kids in economic insecurity cheap, processed food as a default. We exist to break that link.

Our model

Three pillars, one journey

Every family we serve grows across the three dimensions of our mission, measured over time by our Nutrition Journey Index.

Pillar 01

Access

Reliable pipelines from farms, food rescue, and wholesale put whole foods directly into families' hands through customized market box deliveries.

Pillar 02

Tools

Nutrition knowledge, cooking skills, and chef-partnered guidance help families confidently cook and eat plant-rich on a budget.

Pillar 03

Agency

Families shape what they receive, build confidence, and ultimately source whole foods independently. True change is family-led.

Measuring what matters: the Nutrition Journey Index

Most programs count meals handed out. We measure transformation. The Nutrition Journey Index tracks each family's growth across access, tools, and agency, so we know exactly where a family is and what they need next.

What our families say

We ask the families we serve what's working. Here's what they tell us.

“Sunday Lunchbox has been the biggest stress reliever in my life. With food prices constantly in flux, it's hard as a single mother to choose between meat and fresh fruits and veggies. I don't have to make that choice with this program.”

— A Lunchbox family, Austin

“It was perfect. Everything in the box will be used, and the perfect amount of produce.”

— A Lunchbox mom, Austin

“My babies love the banana snacks. They're a crowd favorite, gone the same day.”
