Sunday Lunchbox plays a key role in our goal of “zero waste” here in Austin. We process produce obtained from local farms, including seconds, bitten by the freeze, or just excess, into dehydrated deliciousness for use in our Hak Paks. It puts a smile on our face to be able to use healthy, organic, local produce to feed local families in need, when otherwise this produce would go to waste. It’s a win-win-win!
If you’re a producer, please reach out to us; we’d love to partner with you!
Sunday Lunchbox accepts donations from local farmers whenever produce is at risk of going to waste. We also purchase produce to support our local farmers.
When produce arrives at the Preserve it gets washed, steamed, seasoned, and dehydrated. We flavor our produce with various locally sourced spice blends, making it a great addition to meals and a standalone snack.
Sunday Lunchbox is creative with our blending and taste testing to make kid and adult-friendly shelf stable meals. We're proud of feeding our Lunchbox families with meals sourced locally!
