Meet the minds behind Sunday Lunchbox
Kristen Starr Founder, Executive Director
Kristen founded Sunday Lunchbox in 2020, and combines her technical skills with a passion for community to tackle food injustice. She has grown the company during the past 2 years to deliver over 6000 meals, and has navigated challenges such as building out a kitchen for the Lunch Lab, managing a large volunteer base, securing Healthy Living and Food Justice grants from the City of Austin, and growing partnerships with local farmers and food artisans.
Kevin Boyd Director, President
Kevin is the Director and President of Sunday Lunchbox. He provides 20+ years of food industry experience, high level management expertise, and farmers’ market logistic solutions. Kevin is passionate about fitness and healthy eating.
David Morris
Director, Secretary
David Morris is our board secretary and actively manages several of Sunday Lunchbox’s community partnerships. He has a strong background in the nonprofit sector as the Operations Manager for Austin Youth River Watch and is a program facilitator with Texas Alliance for Minorities in Engineering (TAME).
David graduated from Michigan State University in 2003 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and shares the value of innovation we emphasize at Sunday Lunchbox. He is owner of a design and consulting firm Erudistic, LLC; and holds a patented invention through his other company Dual Deviant, LLC.
